Never have I ever ... used the sense of taste in a grammar lesson 🍋🍋🍋

Have you ever played "never have I ever"? Personally I've not had the pleasure yet but I've seen enough American and British TV shows to know the rules 😝

The rules are very easy. Someone says "never have I ever ... " and adds some information about themselves. If other players have done the thing the first player mentioned they have to ... well ... drink 🍻So if I say "never have I ever been to Spain" and the person playing with me has been to Spain they have to drink.

The sentences produced while playing the game are perfect for practising Present Perfect (pun intended 😜). But I won't give my students beer 😂 and if I give them a glass of juice it will not be exciting ... but if I give them 2kg of lemons the excitement might just appear 😃

And so it did! They loved it and played the game practically all lesson long. The best part was of course thinking up sentences that would make a specific person bite into a slice of lemon ... including their teacher. I'm pretty sure I got my daily dose of vitamin C on that day 😂

And the best part was that every sentence produced during this lesson was correct (we simplified the sentence to "I have never ..."); that we practised lots and lots of irregular verbs; that for the first time ever I've incorporated the sense of taste into a grammar lesson 😅
